The wort will be divided up amongst those who wish to participate. The total cost ($420) will also be divided amongst everyone. For example: 10 people, doing 10 gallon batches will cost everyone $42.
Brewers provide their own yeast, hops and sugars. We'll be making 1.054 wort. With the sugar addition and 90 min boil, folks should hit 1.065.
They are looking for volunteers, please sign up HERE if you can volunteer your time.
Volunteers will receive admission to the event, t-shirt and we have some breakfast snacks in the morning. We try to schedule volunteers so that they will all have some time to also enjoy the festival.

This is an important month for the Tucson Homebrew Club. We're electing new officers! You have to be a paid member to vote and to run. We are still taking dues for the year. If you were not at the last meeting but feel like running for a officer position, don't fret. We'll take some last minute nominations. If no one else is nominated, since there are only 5 positions and 5 people running, those 5 will automatically become elected.
Our current officers:
Brice Helms - President
Matt Covingtion - Treasurer
Shawn Cochran - Minister of Education
Shawn Halstead - Events Coordinator
Freddie Sanchez - Web guy.

November/December 2012: Ant Hayes Memorial Burton (Old) Ale Please bring any entries you have for this to the November meeting.
Top Brewer
As always we take entries for the Top Brewer program. Bring whatever type of beer you'd like judged by BJCP judges (Freddie, Matt, Brice) and others who would like to learn.
Rob, president of ASH, gave me some interesting news. Diageo, owner of Guinness, is donating 1,400 CASES of Guinness Black Lager for ASH's Oktoberfest! As members of the Tucson Homebrew Club, ASH has granted us de facto membership -- meaning we're invited to Oktoberfest. So, if you are planning on going up there October 6, 2012 from 12pm to 6pm, and bring back as many cases of black lager that you can carry.
Tucson Homebrew Club Glasses
The glasses have arrived. Come to the meeting how you can get yours!
